2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Review

This review was written when the 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser was new.

True to its roots, the Land Cruiser delivers impressive off-road prowess, now matched with a pleasant interior. If you're in the market for a luxury large SUV, you should also consider the Cadillac Escalade or Lexus LX.

The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser receives a good overall score because of its strong off-road capability. "When the time comes to go off-road," says Kelley Blue Book, "you'll find that the Land Cruiser has very few limits." Reviewers also like the workmanship of the interior and the wide range of standard features. Motor Trend says the Land Cruiser "stands as one of the truly elite sport/utilities in a world that now expects much more from an SUV than simply taming a jungle. In addition to its proven all-weather, all-terrain capabilities, this Toyota blends in one of the most comfortable, liveable, and well-balanced packages on the road."

The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser is fairly expensive compared to similar vehicles. But Kelley Blue Book notes "Although the Land Cruiser can be pricey, you can take some comfort in the knowledge that your investment is expected to retain a good portion of its value. The Land Cruiser's five-year residual values are right up there with the Land Rover Range RoverBMW X5,Acura MDX and Porsche Cayenne." IntelliChoice also gives the Land Cruiser a value rating of "excellent" for its predicted five-year total cost of ownership, compared to vehicles in its class.

The 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser has only one available trim. The 4X4 Land Cruiser comes equipped with 4.7-liter V8 and a five-speed automatic transmission.
